During the pandemic the property prices in Bulgaria continued to rise. This conclusion was made by the real estate brokers for the past year. The greatest demand for housing is in Sofia and a few popular places around the big cities. Price growth is greatest in some of the smaller regional cities.

Regarding Sofia, the average price is 1,200 euros/sq.m. The most expensive location is "Doctor's Gardent" (average 2,430 euros/sq.m.), and the cheapest homes can be purchased in the neighborhoods "Obelya", "Modern Suburb", "Orlandovtsi" and "Lyulin". In these areas the prices are between 850 and 950 euro/sq.m. m.

The most sought after properties are in the southern neighborhoods of the Bulgarian capital. Many apartments are being bought in Vitosha, Studentski Grad and Mladost districts, where the prices are between 1,200 and 1,500 per square meter.

'During the pandemic people started looking for bigger apartments. There is also increased interest in rural houses ", explained Polina Stoykova, director of a real estate agency.
